I have had Ibizans since 1991.

My husband and I own 5 Ibizans now.

My first Ibizan was an "11th hour" rescue from the local SPCA who'd listed her as a "Whippet".

I literally saved her from being killed that very evening as no one had ever come to claim her or had tried to adopt her.

I saved her life and she repaid me a million times over.

[twice by actually physically saving *my* life]

It is to her that this website is dedicated; my beloved Minny.

Memories are Golden


They say memories are golden.
Well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories
I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,

In 1997, I purchased another Ibizan [ Jack ] and in the years between 1998-2006, was gifted 4 other Ibizans by the same person from whom I bought Jack.

I consider myself blessed that my kids are so closely related since they all definitely sense the "family" connection and get along wonderfully.

Djinni gets her Support Dog/Service Dog status

[and was so impressed that she threw her SD papers on the floor and stepped on them]

Under the Americans With Disabilities Act [ADA] I qualify for a service/support dog.

Thanks to the ADA and my healthcare provider, Djinni now has her official "colors".

[She's not just a dog, she's a prescription]......:))

She enjoys the full public access,  rights and protections under the ADA laws applied to all service dogs, everywhere.

She's shown here wearing her 'saddle bags' for the first time to get used to them.

They were empty that time but she'll be carrying several important items for her Mom in the future.

What's really amazing is her change of demeanor when her "work" saddlebags are put on.

The rest of the time, she's a typical, bouncy, silly Ibizan but when the the saddlebags are on, she buckles down and "gets serious".

Somehow, she just *knows* she has to act responsibly when wearing them.

Note to those looking for Ibizan puppies:

We are NOT a kennel and do not breed.

 We do not show our dogs and they are all neutered.

All of our dogs are 'just' our beloved 'children'.

Many fine and reputable Ibizan kennels exist and an internet search will guide you to them.
