[and yes, the dogs *do* sleep with us. thank God for big beds]...;-D

SOFA SAGAS

 I *used* to have really nice sofas in my house.

But, as anybody with Ibizans as "family" knows, sofas don't last very long.

Every home with Ibizans allowed to run free has the obligatory "sofa throw" or blanket covering [whatever is left] of their sofa.....;-D

Me?

I just gave up on sofas all together.

I bought the kids their own "This End Up" twin bed fitted with a slide-out trundle bed and figured they'd lounge on that and give me some space on "my" sofa.

Ha!

So, I threw out my poor mangled Queen Anne repro sofa and bought *myself* another T.E.U. twin bed and put a futon mattress on it, figuring it would serve well as both a sofa and daybed for me.

Ha! again.

With ~3~ twin bed sized comfy places to lay, they all still try to crowd themselves together with me.

I usually wind up with an un-dog-inhabited sliver in the corner, upon which I perch precariously, so as not to disturb them.

Some of my favorite Beezer websites show shredded sofas with happy dogs sprawled across them.

I may not know the people who own those lucky dogs, but I can't help but like them, nonetheless.

I *know* they love their dogs like family if they're willing to sacrifice a picture-perfect home for the comfort and happiness of their dogs.

Books and belongings get shredded. Beautiful floors become but a dim memory.

Pretty nick-knacks on the tables?

Now that's a joke.

[ my nick-knacks get puppy-whacked even though I give the dog a bone! ]
